Ordering in a restaurant is tough enough without haveing to stress over the vendor’s order deadline. We’ve been doing this a long time and no matter what city we’re in, no matter how big the restaurant orders are and no matter how accomodating the vendors can be (or not), getting the order together on time is always a challenge.
If you’re making menu changes or have seasonal swings in business, this becomes even more stressfull.
When negotiating with these companies for our group, in addition to trying to get great pricing we’re also working on these other less tangible components which in the long run help create value on the relationship. Later order deadlines for one.
