May is the official start to the Vidalia Onion season, although we are seeing them earlier this year. The large sweet Vidalia get their name from Vidalia, Georgia are are commonly sold in 10lb, 25lb, and 40lb mesh bags and boxes. ChefMod has them in both sizes depending which of our distributors you purchase them from. The Vidalia Onion comes exclusively from Georgia and is best known for it’s sweet, mild lavor.
